b Overview /b p In this role you lead the Change Release Management function for HMRC DCE migrations into Run Operate. You will govern changes and releases across the AWS-hosted estate, aligning with ITIL-based governance and CAB processes. You interface with HMRC’s governance and ensure risk-accurate, auditable production deployments. The role requires UK government security clearance and collaboration with cross-functional teams to enable smooth, controlled transitions. This is a strategic opportunity to shape enterprise cloud adoption and stability in a regulated public-sector context. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li Mentorship Career Growth /li li Work/Life Balance /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Own and continuously improve Change and Release Management processes aligned with governance and best practice /li li Oversee end-to-end lifecycle of changes and releases: assessment, planning, approval, deployment, validation, closure /li li Classify changes and enforce appropriate approval gates per HMRC taxonomy /li li Govern ITSM processes using ITIL 4, focusing on release deployment and change evaluation /li li Coordinate early life support and ensure readiness for live service introduction /li li Ensure releases pass stage gates (Dev, Test, Pre-Prod, Prod) with evidence and sign-off /li li Manage ELS periods with criteria for transition to BAU /li li Coordinate platform upgrades and automate deployments (CI/CD) within governance guardrails /li li Coordinate with suppliers and teams to minimize disruption and maintain service stability /li li Chair CAB meetings, manage risk, impacts and schedules; maintain Forward Schedule of Change /li li Ensure compliance with audit requirements and drive continuous improvement through reporting and PIRs /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Experience in Change and Release Management within large-scale IT transformation or cloud adoption /li li Strong ITIL service management knowledge: Change Enablement, Release Management, Deployment Management /li li Experience governing changes in AWS/public cloud with cloud-native deployment patterns /li li Ability to chair CAB meetings and manage complex release schedules across multiple teams /li li Experience in a prime contractor or managed service provider model, preferably in UK public sector /li li Strong risk assessment skills and governance controls /li li Experience with stage-gated release processes and evidence packs for audit /li li Familiarity with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and DevOps in a governed environment /li li Experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM tooling (preferred) /li li Knowledge of HMRC or UK government programmes (preferred) /li /ul ul li effective communicator with senior leaders /li li stakeholder management and collaboration /li li analytical and detail-oriented /li li ITIL v4 or higher /li li Change Enablement, Release Management, Deployment Management /li li CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), DevOps practices /li /ul
