b Overview /b p In this role you act as lead tech-law counsel for AWS sales across the UK, Northern Europe and wider EMEA, drafting and negotiating strategic technology service agreements while supporting regulatory, data protection, and public policy matters. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to navigate complex deals and public sector engagements, driving faster, compliant commercial outcomes. You will pioneer AI-enabled legal operations to improve contract cycle times and risk management. This position combines transactional depth with regulatory counsel in a fast-growing cloud business. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Draft and negotiate strategic technology service agreements with enterprise, public sector customers, and partners /li li Provide ongoing legal counsel on product development, operations, security, compliance, data protection, and public policy /li li Support local and regional service initiatives and manage issues arising in existing relationships /li li Serve as lead counsel on strategic sales transactions and partnership agreements /li li Support UK public sector engagements (Crown Commercial Service frameworks and G-Cloud) /li li Coordinate multi-country deal structures with EMEA teammates /li li Pioneer AI-driven transformation of legal operations to speed up reviews and improve insights /li li Collaborate with cross-functional teams and local legal colleagues to solve novel challenges /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li License to practice law in Europe, US or other common law jurisdiction /li li Experience in transactional work, including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts /li li Minimum of 2+ years post-qualification legal experience /li li Previous work in a law firm, government, or in-house at a technology company /li li Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills /li /ul ul li Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset /li li Strong communication and negotiation abilities /li li Sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations /li li Knowledge of general AI tools /li li Experience in web services/cloud computing, software licensing, telecommunications /li li Experience in IT transactions and services agreements /li /ul
