AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations – from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

As a Sr. Product Manager, you will be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and performance of an AWS region. You should be passionate about delivering services to customers while also possessing a strategic understanding of business objectives. A strong technical background is required to produce concrete specifications and work closely with engineering to drive implementation. In this role, you will be at the forefront of cloud technologies with interactions across the full breadth of AWS services, and must be creative and forward leaning in developing solutions.

Key job responsibilities
– Own product planning in roadmap and feature definition as well as pricing, pricing model innovation, capacity forecasting, and P&L optimization.
– Own marketing in positioning, promotion, and sales enablement.
– Work directly with executive leaders of customers and partners of all sizes and segments, iterating on our product vision and driving business development.
A day in the life
You will own the scale in perspective from strategic vision development, through direct interaction with AWS senior leadership on tactical product development and sales execution. In addition, you will be responsible for helping to shape the vision for future customer capabilities, and develop a strategy to achieve the vision.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
– Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
– Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
– Experience managing technical products or online services
– Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
– Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
