Are you a budding programmer with a passion for technology and a drive to learn? We are seeking Software Development Engineer Apprentice to join our dynamic team and embark on an exciting journey of professional growth and skill development. You will work alongside seasoned software engineering experts, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced, innovation environment. Your role will involve contributing to the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge software solutions that drive our business forward. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will be exposed to a variety of programming languages, frameworks, and methodologies, allowing you to cultivate a well-rounded skill set.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimise solutions
- Learn and apply best practices in software development
- Contributing to real world projects that impact millions of customers globally
- Analysing and solving complex technical challenges
- Participating in code reviews and ensuring code quality
- Implementing software security measures and compliance
- Staying updated with the latest software development trends and emerging technologies
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026)
- Have the right to live and work in Wales (if you are on a visa, this needs to enable you to legally work and reside in Wales for the entire duration of the program).
- Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
- Be a resident of Wales for the entire duration of the program
- Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2026 or later
- Successfully complete any additional assessments required by our training provider as part of the recruitment process
- Have at least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above including Maths and English
- Have 3 A levels or equivalent qualifications at grade C or above, including one in a STEM subject
Please note, if you have received educational qualifications outside of the UK then we will require a Statement of Comparability to confirm your eligibility for the scheme. Please ensure you obtain one during the application process, through UK ENIC: https://www.enic.org.uk/Previous qualifications will be reviewed for funding eligibility and offers are subject to funding approval.
