Come join us in revolutionizing how Alexa interacts with customers as we make her the best AI assistant ever! This is a multi-disciplinary role where you will be working closely with Sr. SDEs, PEs and PMs on a regular basis. Your team will be responsible for designing and delivering critical services for Alexa that span across variety of devices including echo and fire tv. If you\’re interested in working at scale, we support thousands of TPS of live Alexa traffic. You will also have the opportunity to learn and be curious through our LLM/Generative AI initiatives.
Key job responsibilities
As an Alexa Subscriptions Growth SDM you will be at the forefront of AI innovation, shaping an assistant that fosters natural and productive interactions. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with brilliant minds in the fields of AI, ML, and LLM while managing a high performance team. Partnering with software engineers, designers, and quality assurance, you will work horizontally across Alexa, own mechanisms to prioritize and streamline communication and project delivery across a diverse and highly technical range of Amazon partners. Moreover, you will derive immense satisfaction from working on a product that resonates with your friends and family, one that they can relate to and eagerly anticipate using daily.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 7+ years of engineering experience
– 3+ years of engineering team management experience
– 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi tier web services experience
– Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations
– Experience partnering with product or program management teams
– Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
– Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers
