Launch your engineering career in Mechatronics Maintenance at Amazon. The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team keeps vital machinery running. As an apprentice you will maintain a wide range of electrical and mechanical equipment, conduct fault diagnosis, and support continuous improvement projects using automation and robotics.
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out proactive and preventative maintenance on automated equipment.
- Perform reactive repairs and fault diagnostics in a live distribution warehouse.
- Use the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
- Make modifications and upgrades to existing equipment.
- Uphold health and safety policies and practices.
- Work on continuous improvement projects.
Basic Qualifications:
- UK national, or non‑UK national with the right to work in the UK, or EU national with settled status, who has lived in the UK, EEA, or British Overseas Territory for 3 years or more prior to commencing (September 2026).
- Visa that allows legal work and residence in England for the entire duration of the programme (September 2030).
- Resident of the UK for the entire duration of the programme.
- No registration to study on a UK government‑funded course ending August 2026 or later.
- At least 18 years old before entering an Amazon building (September 2026).
- Minimum of 3 GCSEs at Grades 9‑4 / A–C (or equivalent): Maths, English and a science/technology subject.
- Applicants with qualifications obtained outside the UK must provide a Statement of Comparability via UK ENIC.
- This apprenticeship assumes the candidate has little or no knowledge/experience of the occupation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 GCSEs at Grades 9‑4 / A–C (or equivalent) including Maths, English and a science/technology subject.
- Achievement or pursuit of a T‑Level in an Engineering subject, or A‑Levels with a bias toward science & technology, or equivalent.
Important Qualification Reminder:
Applicants must provide proof of all required qualifications by 17 July 2026. Failure to submit verified certificates by this date will result in automatic withdrawal of any conditional offer and the cancellation of the apprenticeship.
