We are looking for a motivated apprentice to join our Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team. The role offers hands‑on experience in both electrical and mechanical engineering within a highly automated warehouse environment. You will gain a solid foundation for a career in mechatronics maintenance, working with cutting‑edge robotics, conveyor networks, and smart sensor technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out proactive and preventative maintenance on complex automated equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults in a live distribution warehouse setting.
- Use the latest tools to maximise equipment effectiveness.
- Modify and upgrade existing equipment to improve performance.
- Uphold health and safety policies and practices.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Required Qualifications
- UK national, or non‑UK national with the right to work in the UK, or an EU national with settled status and residence of 3+ years in the UK or EEA (prior to September 2026).
- Full UK residency for the duration of the programme (through September 2030).
- Not registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2026 or later.
- Minimum age 18 years before entry (effective September 2026).
- At least 3 GCSEs at grades 9‑4 / A‑C (or equivalent): Maths, English and a science/technology subject.
- No prior qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 GCSEs at grades 9‑4 / A‑C, including Maths, English and a science/technology subject.
- Studying towards or holding a T‑Level in Engineering, or A‑Levels with a bias towards science & technology.
- Experience or interest in fluid power systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLC operations, or CAD design.
Benefits
