We are looking for a Product Manager to support the Execution Product team in EU. This is a brand new role, and you will be focused supporting a key product metric for the business, Operating Expenses. You will be responsible for creating the 3-year strategy and roadmap to decrease operating expenses. You will work with other Amazon Freight functions to identify levers, owners, goals and timelines, and will be responsible for driving the actions from each owner and for monthly reporting to senior leadership. Finally, you will also work with AF Strategy and Amazon Freight North America teams to align roadmaps and benchmark on best practices across Amazon and external transportation industry.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Create and manage program and product strategy and roadmap for Operating Expense Reduction
  2. Own and deliver on program performance metrics, conduct performance reviews with Leadership team
  3. Lead cross-functional teams to achieve roadmap milestones
  4. Conduct analysis, effectively communicate complex findings and recommendations with senior leadership, cross-functional teams, and global stakeholders, foster strong relationships and drive consensus.
  5. Design analytical approach, deliver findings using data, visualizations, and effective storytelling techniques
  6. Create new tools and business processes that simplify, standardize, and enable sustainable growth & performance of this program

  1. Every day is different as a PM. You’ll work independently and collaboratively on projects, which may be at different stages of the lifecycle, from development to delivery. You might spend your morning gathering data and feedback to assess a program, then spend your afternoon discussing a tech requirement.
  2. You are a problem solver and excel at breaking down complex problems into solvable pieces.
  3. You are tech and data savvy, speak with data to come up with meaningful insights.
  4. You are comfortable working in a startup environment and capable of dealing with ambiguity.
  5. You are a confident communicator and can effectively drive consensus within the team.
  6. You are a self-starter and you will work autonomously to research and share knowledge with your key stakeholders.

Amazon Freight is part of the Amazon Transportation Services organization responsible for many of Amazon’s best-in-class logistics and transportation operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Bachelor\’s degree or equivalent
  2. Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition, results-oriented
  3. Experience with end to end product/program delivery
  4. Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  5. Experience in product or program management, finance, business development, technology, or supply-chain/transportation
  6. Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
  7. Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), SQL and Python in a professional environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Prior Experience in Supply Chain Management and/or start-up environment
  2. Prior experience working in Product Management or Consulting.
  3. Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
