Description

At Amazon, we’re working to be the most customer‑centric company on earth. One customer experience that we’re constantly looking to take to a new level is how we fulfill and deliver orders. Our goal is to exceed the expectations of all customers by ensuring that orders are delivered where and when they need them, as quickly, accurately, and cost‑effectively as possible. To meet this goal, Amazon continues to innovate and provide best‑in‑class service levels through pioneering new products and services in the last mile delivery space. We are building a world‑class last mile operation, significantly complemented by Amazon Flex, which works directly with independent contractors—called delivery partners—to make deliveries to our customers. The Amazon Flex EU team is looking for an analytical, results‑oriented person to drive Flex planning across businesses. In this role, you will understand the breadth of activities covered by the Flex planning function in the UK, execute these activities with excellence, and continuously improve for scale. This is a highly visible and critical role that requires partnering with a cross‑disciplinary team of program managers, ops managers, marketing managers, data scientists, engineers, product managers, finance partners, and executives across businesses. The successful candidate will be self‑motivated, passionate, highly analytical and detail‑oriented, possess superior interpersonal and communication skills, and be comfortable working independently to drive growth and change in a fast‑paced environment. Bias for action and deep diving is an absolute must; candidates must demonstrate a superior track record of delivering results, sound business judgment, and the ability to think strategically with a long‑term vision while executing on tactical details. This role requires a high level of writing, judgment, influence, and ownership. You will lead with data to persuade others, own and develop strategic partnerships with internal and external customers, and write engaging narratives that you can present effectively.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own multiple processes within the EU planning function.
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly deep dives on metrics, providing a path to green where applicable.
  • Own key metric forecasting for annual and quarterly planning cycles.
  • Create EU‑wide processes that help deliver on cost, fill, performance, and DPx goals in partnership with business teams and central operations; drive process improvements and standardization in partner teams to meet these goals.
  • Represent Flex as a channel in business and partner reviews, voice concerns, and drive leadership decisions to mitigate issues.
  • Drive automation, process improvement, and cost initiatives.
  • Interact with senior‑level audiences, including directors, from both internal and external teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, index/match, VLOOKUP, VBA, and data links.
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with tech and non‑tech teams.
  • Experience in program or project management.
  • Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis, or communicating results to senior leadership.
  • Experience in supply chain functions such as contracting, demand management and/or planning and procurement, and supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using managed ML/AI solutions.
