Amazonβs military recruiting team is available to discuss opportunities within Amazon, where former military personnel contribute to innovation and customer experience.
Join a team that uses automation, robotics, and continuous innovation to keep operations running. This apprenticeship provides hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical disciplines, preparing you to become a multi-skilled maintenance technician working with industry-leading equipment.
The Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team maintains essential machinery and works to uphold health and safety standards, reduce downtime, and improve equipment availability and quality.
You will learn through a broad range of activities including installation, testing, fault finding, and ongoing planned maintenance of complex automated equipment. You will support a 24/7 operation in shift patterns that reflect the real-world schedules of Amazon engineers.
Throughout the apprenticeship you will work towards an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering (Mechatronics Maintenance). Your first 12 months involve a full-time residential programme at external training facilities or Amazon training centres, with accommodation and travel support if needed. In later years you will study for an HNC in Engineering or Mechatronics while gaining on-the-job training at Fulfilment Centres, Sortation Centres, or Delivery Stations. You will learn from experienced technicians and engineers and gain exposure to real engineering projects.

This apprenticeship trains you for roles such as mechatronic maintenance technician, maintenance engineer, mechanical fitter, and electrical engineer, with opportunities for progression within the RME team and across Amazon.
Join us to help keep Amazon moving and shape the future of technology.
