Overview
You will drive and coordinate end-to-end delivery of boutique, non-standard infrastructure programs for AWS globally. You’ll translate ambiguous customer needs into concrete technical requirements and scalable delivery plans, partnering with engineering and operations across regions. The role blends demand forecasting, program governance, and cross-team collaboration to accelerate deployment of innovative infrastructure. This is a hands-on, ambiguity-tolerant position that directly shapes how AWS scales edge and special-purpose environments at scale.
Responsibilities
- Elicit and document technical requirements for undefined or loosely scoped programs
- Develop initial demand forecasts and capacity models; refine as programs mature
- Lead end-to-end delivery from requirements through deployment
- Manage budgets, schedules, and resources for diverse, evolving programs
- Partner with engineering to design tailored infrastructure solutions under varying constraints
- Coordinate cross-program activities to gain cost and execution efficiencies
- Build relationships with internal customers to align delivery with demand
- Establish governance, roles, responsibilities, and process flows to reduce ambiguity
- Identify risks and develop contingency plans for first-of-kind deployments
- Create scalable SOPs and dashboards to monitor portfolio health and onboarding
Key requirements
- Bachelor in Engineering
- Experience identifying, mitigating, and managing business risks and tradeoffs
- Experience managing risks in ambiguous deployment environments
- 3+ years of program management or technical project management
- 3+ years of managing multiple large projects
- Stakeholder management and influence in matrixed organizations
- Ability to translate ambiguous asks into actionable plans
- Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with AWS infrastructure concepts and data center design principles
- Experience with demand forecasting, capacity planning, and KPI dashboards
- Strong data analysis and metrics-driven reporting
