This role will use our standardized messaging hierarchy to ensure strategic alignment between messaging, audience needs, and business objectives while maintaining consistency in brand voice and customer experience.

While the Content Strategist does not own creation of the messaging within the content, they do drive the strategic vision that informs content creators on how best to deliver consistent, personalized content experiences that educate, engage, and empower customers to make informed decisions. With a focus on audience engagement and driving consistent storytelling and messaging, the Content Strategist's key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting audience and content audits

  • Create and manage content calendars and information architecture
  • Oversee content creation across various formats (blogs, infographics, videos, etc.)
  • Optimize content for SEO and multi-platform distribution

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, peer marketing teams, subject matter experts, etc.) to drive alignment across execution touchpoints
  • Ensure brand and messaging consistency across all content
  • Determine optimal content formats based on persona to drive engagement, lead generation, and brand loyalty

Objectives:

  • Elevate AWS's content strategy to strengthen brand voice and a consistent narrative across the customer journey to improve audience engagement
  • Ensure seamless execution of strategic direction across all content pieces
  • Contribute to measurable results in terms of influencing lead generation, solution adoption, and customer loyalty
  • Establish AWS as a thought leader through compelling, high-quality content

A day in the life:

  • Own the end-to-end content calendar from ideation to publication
  • Guide content creators and designers in producing various content formats
  • Identify trends, content gaps, and audience preferences
  • Collaborate with data and analytics teams to develop and study KPIs
  • Work with peer teams to ensure SEO optimization and user-friendly formats
  • Stay updated on industry trends and algorithm changes affecting content marketing
  • Manage relationships with internal and external subject matter experts and influencers
