About AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS)
SMGS drives adoption and growth from the largest and fastestâgrowing smallâ and midâmarket accounts to enterpriseâlevel customers, including public sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the business development strategy and execution for Amazon Connect in UKI, collaborating with sales, partners, marketing, and other specialists.
- Leverage expertise in CX/CCaaS/CRM to understand and address the most important customer needs.
- Lead crossâfunctional initiatives to expand territories/accounts, develop scalable programs to drive adoption, and identify new opportunities.
- Develop and execute goals to drive longâterm growth in your territory, while meeting revenue and nonârevenue driven KPIs.
- Bring customer data and market signals back to EMEA and worldwide teams to ensure prioritisation of the right features and services.
- Deliver monthly/quarterly business reviews and operational planning documents for your territory.
- Drive geographical scale through external partners, partner with crossâfunctional teams, and execute customer acquisition strategies and programs.

About the Team
The Amazon Connect specialist team helps customers learn about and adopt AWS's Amazon Connect, a fastâgrowing contact center service.
Basic Qualifications
- Several years of demonstrable business development experience.
- Significant domain experience in CCaaS / CRM / SaaS.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with experience communicating to technical and nonâtechnical audiences.
- Established track record of credibility as a technology advisor with customer executives (e.g. CEO, COO, CIO, CTO, CMO).
- Experience and success in negotiating complex deals with customers and partners.
- Experience in a heavily matrixed sales environment, including developing and executing goâtoâmarket growth initiatives and sales motions.
- Deep understanding of cloud technologies, including public and hybrid cloud platforms.
