Have you ever wondered what it takes to keep tens of thousands of delivery vans moving across Europe, every single day?
Behind every Amazon delivery is a fleet of vehicles that needs to be sourced, maintained, and optimised across nine countries.
If solving that puzzle with data sounds exciting, this role is for you.
The Fleet Process Excellence (FPE) team sits within EU Fleet Operations and is focused on one thing: making our branded delivery fleet more cost-efficient.
We work across multiple European countries, partnering with Delivery Service Providers (DSPs), Fleet Management Companies (FMCs), and internal teams across Last Mile operations.
We're looking for an Insights Manager to own how we use data to find and drive fleet cost savings.
You'll build the pipelines, dashboards, and analyses that help leadership understand where the money goes and where the opportunities are.
Think of it as being the team's data engine: you surface the insights, quantify the impact, and help turn numbers into action.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to be comfortable working independently, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, and solving problems where the path isn't always obvious.
You don't need to know everything on day one, but you do need curiosity, initiative, and a bias for getting things done.
Please note that this a 12 months Fixed-term contract.
- Key job responsibilities
- Build and maintain automated data pipelines that provide a single source of truth for fleet cost performance (cost-per-package, vehicle off-road rates, cost-by-station)
- Create dashboards and visualisations that surface cost trends, anomalies, and optimisation opportunities for Directors and senior leadership
- Proactively identify savings levers using data analysis, quantify the impact, and present clear recommendations
- Work with Finance, Regional Fleet Managers, and Operations leaders to align on cost data and support business cases
- Develop and own the data models and warehouse structures that underpin fleet cost reporting
- Drive automation that reduces manual effort and improves data quality across the team
- Communicate the "so what" behind the numbers, not just the numbers themselves
- Experience in scripting for automation (e. g.
Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with one or more analytics visualization tools (e. g., Excel, Tableau, Quick Sight, Micro Strategy, Power BI)
- Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines
- Experience in design and execution of analytics projects
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
-
- Experience analysing and interpreting large-scale datasets using SQL and a cloud data warehouse (Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query, or similar)
- Experience with financial or business analysis
- Experience with database, data warehouse or data lake solutions
- Experience working within a global company, with multi-country responsibilities
- Experience in fleet management, logistics, transportation, or last mile operations
- Track record of building reporting or data products from scratch
