Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced event manager to execute end-to-end operations and delivery of B2B event programs and workstreams within AWS's flagship event portfolio (geographic focus: Europe, Middle East and Africa). This includes our large-scale AWS Summit program where customers can learn more about AWS through keynotes, hands‐on technical sessions, and interactive learning opportunities that cover a range of topics from cloud migration to AI. This role requires strong program management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring high‐quality delivery. You will be responsible for implementing event strategies across various disciplines (e.g., content, operations, platforms, or specialized audience programs) and playing a key role in onsite execution during live events. The preferred location for this role is London (UK). Other locations that can be considered are Paris (France), Munich (Germany) and Amsterdam (Netherlands).

Key job responsibilities

  • Support the end-to-end delivery of assigned event workstreams or programs (examples: expo areas, event production, badge pick‐up, audience‐specific programs, internal comms)
  • Manage day‐to‐day program activities, including timeline development and stakeholder coordination
  • Create and maintain project documentation and status reporting
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for successful delivery
  • Own specific onsite responsibilities during live events
  • Implement standardized processes from the Event Center of Excellence
  • Coordinate event logistics within assigned workstream
  • Ensure consistent delivery quality across program elements
  • Support budget tracking and reconciliation
  • Manage onsite teams and vendors during event execution
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues during live events
  • Act as primary liaison between stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams
  • Manage regular communications and status updates
  • Coordinate with regional teams to ensure local relevance while maintaining global standards
  • Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback
  • Support stakeholder needs during onsite execution
  • Implement standard operating procedures and best practices
  • Support data collection and reporting for program metrics
  • Lead post‐event analysis and documentation
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives (e.g. automation of workflows)
  • Maintain program documentation and playbooks

About the team

Join our AWS EMEA Events Team looking after AWS Flagship Events across Europe, Middle East and Africa. We are a diverse team of driven event program managers known to deliver bar‐raising event strategy, planning, and execution for AWS flagship events. We work backwards from our external and internal customers and innovate on their behalf. And we obviously work hard, have fun and make history.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in event management or related field
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Experience supporting live event execution
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with event management tools and technologies
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with technology industry events (3,000+ attendees)
  • Understanding of specific event disciplines (content, operations, platforms)
  • Experience with virtual and hybrid event formats
  • International event experience
  • Knowledge of event registration and marketing automation platforms
