Salary: Β£60,000 - 110,000 per year
Requirements:
- Experience in software development or technical support
- Experience scripting in modern programming languages
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems
- Knowledge of web services, distributed systems, and web application development
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining hardware and software RAID
- Experience with REST web services, XML, and JSON
- You must be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance
Responsibilities:
- Dive deep to pinpoint the underlying causes of customer-related issues and provide support in escalations when necessary
- Apply Linux expertise to troubleshoot, innovate solutions, and resolve technical issues
- Manage ticket queues for our internal team and partner service teams to ensure service level agreements are met
- Lead efforts to improve operational efficiency by analysing root causes, trends, metrics, procedures, tools, and documentation
- Engage with internal service teams on company-wide initiatives such as patching, operating system migrations, and code updates
- Work with internal software development teams to enhance systems and services within the teams scope
- Collaborate closely with experienced engineers and take part in knowledge-sharing sessions
- Use allocated personal development time to learn new programming languages, improve software development skills, and build services
