AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting data centres and all servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. We tackle challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.
The Data Centre Infrastructure Operations organisation seeks an individual with strong computer and communication skills to support the Facility Operations Centre (FOC). The FOC monitors data centre infrastructure 24x7x365 from a central location, ensuring optimal customer experience through consistency, reliability, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, acknowledge, and respond to data centre infrastructure alarms.
- Create tickets for infrastructure issues and raise on-site teams.
- Validate and process change management requests.
- Escalate infrastructure issues to external vendors.
- Facilitate response to on-site events.
- Serve as a Point of Contact (POC) for internal and external teams.
- Assist with developing communication and escalation protocols to improve team performance.
- Assist with developing tools that enhance team performance.
- UK national, able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic understanding of data centre infrastructure (desired but not essential).
- Excellent computer and communication skills.
- Shift-based work: day and night shifts, weekdays and weekends, public holidays.
- Experience in data center engineering.
