Description
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant (DevOps) to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you\’ll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You\’ll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud journey, providing technical expertise and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Delivery Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. Youu2019ll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. As trusted advisors to our customers, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions, you will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.
The AWS Professional Services organization is a global team of experts that help customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. We work together with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute enterprise cloud computing initiatives. Our team provides assistance through a collection of offerings which help customers achieve specific outcomes related to enterprise cloud adoption. We also deliver focused guidance through our global specialty practices, which cover a variety of solutions, technologies, and industries.
This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to UK client locations (3-4 days on customer site per week) to deliver professional services to our customers.
UK Government Security Clearance is required for this role ( UK Nationality is required for this role.
Key job responsibilities
Solutions u2014 You like working with customers to solve problems and identify opportunities. Youu2019ll define and deliver on-site technical engagements with partners and customers. This includes understanding customer security and compliance requirements, proposing and delivering packaged security offerings, and helping to build bespoke security solutions to fit customersu2019 needs.
Expertise u2014 Cloud is the new norm and customers are migrating increasingly more sensitive workloads to AWS. Youu2019re an expert in operating within an enterprise security program and developing a security model in the AWS cloud – identity and access management, logging and monitoring, infrastructure security, data protection, and incident response.
Delivery u2014 As a consultant you will often go on-site to customers to deliver projects proving the use of AWS services and security technology to support information security in the cloud. Sometimes you might help migrate existing applications; sometimes you might help them develop new applications using AWS cloud services.
Insights u2014 Youu2019ll work with AWS engineering, support and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback as input to AWS technology roadmaps.

Basic Qualifications
– Experience as a technical consultant, in combination with Agile delivery experience (Certified Scrum Master preferred but not required).
– AWS experience, with a minimum of an associate AWS certification.
– Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) is preferred.
– Strong presentation and knowledge sharing skills, using whiteboards and other tools, with the ability to work effectively across internal and external organisations.
– Experience with modern application architecture and software design, including a working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
– AWS experience preferred, with proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation)
– AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
– Strong scripting skills in a widely-used language (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript, GoLang).
– Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
– Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
