Overview
As a Controls Engineer for Construction, you will implement and maintain building automation and electrical monitoring systems across AWS data centers.
You’ll work with a cross-functional team to ensure high availability, resiliency, and cost-effective operations while aligning controls with broader business objectives.
The role offers hands-on deployment, testing, and commissioning of BMS/EPMS, with global collaboration and travel.
You’ll contribute to secure, scalable data center environments and drive continuous improvement in control strategies.

Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain BMS and EPMS across data centers
- Coordinate with DCEO teams on new builds and upgrades
- Define project scope and customer requirements
- Read, interpret, and apply specifications to the work environment
- Develop control panel BOMs and ISA data sheets for instrumentation
- Create wiring diagrams, power distribution drawings, and control panel schematics
- Develop PLC/Distributed Control System logic diagrams and plans
- Prepare cable routing plans and schedules
- Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning of facility systems
- Coordinate internal and external project work to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Travel domestically and internationally to support other regions
- Key requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Vendor management experience
- Data center or critical environment experience
- Data center engineering or operations experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
