Description

Are you passionate about helping customers solve real technical challenges through cloud architecture?

As a Solutions Architect I at Amazon, you will partner directly with customers to design and deliver cloud-based solutions that reduce risk, optimize costs, and unlock new possibilities.

You will work across teams to translate business objectives into well-architected technical designs, gaining hands-on experience with systems architecture while building trusted relationships with the customers you serve.

This is an opportunity to grow your technical expertise, contribute to meaningful customer outcomes, and collaborate with experienced architects who will help accelerate your development.

  • Key job responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical point of contact for new-to-cloud public sector customers in the UK guiding them from first workload to production.
  • Conduct technical discovery sessions in English to understand customer pain points and recommend AWS-based solutions.
  • Partner with Account Executives on territory planning, account prioritization, and customer engagement strategies across UK-PS and Germany-PS.
  • Design and present foundational cloud architectures aligned with customer business outcomes and public sector requirements in both markets.
  • Build repeatable plays and enablement assets for common customer scenarios (cost optimization, compliance, legacy migration).
  • Evangelize AWS technology through workshops, proof-of-concept engagements, and technical content in English and German.
  • Navigate German public sector procurement and compliance requirements alongside UK frameworks.
  • Contribute to the growth of the Greenfield SA organization through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and operational best practices
  • A day in the life

You partner with Account Executives to break into new public-sector accounts — translating agency missions into technical strategies that land first workloads on AWS.

Your days blend research (understanding an agency's IT landscape, compliance posture, and modernization drivers) with hands-on engagement: leading technical discovery calls, whiteboarding architectures, building proof-of-concept demos, and crafting migration roadmaps that give prospects confidence to move forward.

You help AEs navigate complex procurement cycles by articulating technical differentiators in RFI/RFP responses, and you coordinate with AWS service teams, partner SIs, and security specialists to assemble the right solution.

You maintain technical win plans for your accounts, contribute to pipeline reviews with data-driven assessments, and stay current on AWS services so you can match emerging capabilities to customer problems.

The role rewards curiosity, builder instincts, and the ability to earn trust fast with technical and executive audiences alike.
