Are you seeking a high-impact role with direct exposure to senior leadership? The EU-NFT team is looking for a customer-focused Business Intelligence Engineer with strong analytical and technical expertise to drive performance measurement, innovation, and execution within Fulfillment Center Operations. This role plays a critical part in optimizing Amazon’s fulfillment network—enhancing the customer experience through faster delivery promises and enabling cost-efficient fulfillment planning and execution. Partnering with Fulfillment Center Operations and data teams, you will develop analytics dashboards, deep-dive tools, and influence product roadmaps using data insights and AWS services.

Key job responsibilities
As a Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE I), your responsibilities include:
1. Manage Customer Requests: Collaborate with business partners to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions, including dashboards, tools, and scalable pipelines.
2. Design and Implement Solutions: Develop and prioritize technical solutions using robust design principles to address business challenges and innovate data infrastructure.
3. Drive Operational Excellence: Establish and promote best practices for efficient, scalable, and reliable data solutions.
A day in the life
As a Business Intelligence Engineer, you’ll collaborate with Fulfillment Center Operations and data teams to develop scalable data solutions that drive performance. Your day involves:
• Prioritizing customer requests and delivering actionable insights through dashboards and data tools.
• Designing efficient data models and pipelines using SQL, Redshift, and AWS services.
• Building interactive dashboards with QuickSight or Tableau for real-time decision-making.
• Automating workflows and optimizing BI processes using Python, R, or Java.
• Analyzing large datasets to uncover trends, solve complex challenges, and influence leadership decisions.
About the team
The Network Flow and Technologies (NFT) team is responsible for building data solutions that drive operational efficiency and enhance the Amazon customer experience. We work across the supply chain to optimize for the network, while minimizing complexity and reducing variation to ensure streamlined operations and consistent outcomes. By providing comprehensive reporting, insightful attribution, and accurate forecasting, we empower our stakeholders to understand what happened, why it happened, and what will happen next. We own the results, not just the technology. We rigorously audit outputs with metrics and experiments, ensuring accuracy and holding dependencies accountable for input quality.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Experience in analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc.
– Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
– Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
– Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)
– Experience with SQL
– Experience in the data/BI space
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Master\’s degree, or Advanced technical degree
– Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
– Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
