We’re looking for someone with accountancy practice experience who has an interest in working with agricultural and rural businesses. This is a great opportunity to develop your career within a specialist team, working directly with farming and rural clients across the Southwest.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review accounts, tax returns and VAT returns
- Manage bookkeeping and financial records
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and financial reports
- Provide financial and tax advice to agricultural and rural clients
- Identify tax-planning and business opportunities
- Liaise with HMRC when required
- Support with inheritance tax and capital gains tax matters
- Attend farm visits, agricultural events and local markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Work closely with farming and rural businesses to help them manage and grow their finances

The candidate:
- ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified, or working towards & studying towards an accountancy qualification
- Good knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance
- Strong attention to detail & confidence dealing directly with clients
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
