The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Engagement Manager (EM) to lead the delivery of complex cloud solution projects. You will combine technical expertise with strong project leadership skills to drive successful AWS-based solution implementations for our clients. Your role involves bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating technical discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer outcomes.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing complex cloud migration and implementation projects.
- Utilizing comprehensive knowledge of AWS services, architectures, and best practices to guide technical decisions and strategic planning.
- Bridging business requirements with technical solutions, facilitating engineering discussions, and ensuring alignment with customer business outcomes.
- Translating customer needs into clear technical requirements and mapping them to business outcomes.
- Decomposing complex technical problems into actionable solutions.
- Contributing to technical documentation and defining documentation standards.
Qualifications
Basic:
- Experience in technical program management with customer-facing experience, interfacing with executive stakeholders, and leading large transformation programs.
- Experience applying project management and agile methodologies on enterprise-level engagements.
- Strong communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Business acumen with ability to articulate cloud value propositions to C-level executives.
- Ability to understand complex business and technical environments quickly.
Preferred:
- Experience with AWS.
- Certifications such as PMP or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
- Knowledge of AWS frameworks like Well-Architected and Cloud Adoption Framework.
- Proven ability to establish credibility with engineering teams and senior decision-makers.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with senior business and technology leaders, including CxO level.
This role requires UK nationality and UK Government Security Clearance. The position involves travel to UK client locations (3-4 days per week).
