We are looking for a Water Infrastructure Manager to support scaling and growth across our Data Center network. If you like to drive the development, implementation and construction of new water infrastructure, your work will help deliver large-scale water projects and water infrastructure projects that our infrastructure needs to renewably and strategically operate.
This role is available in Madrid, Zaragoza, London, Frankfurt, and Dublin.
Key Responsibilities- You will own the End-to-End delivery of off site water infrastructure solutions, from scoping to physical delivery, acting as the business and technical owner of all aspects of the delivery.
- You will manage 3rd party design consultants, develop and document requirements, budgets, business cases, permitting and project schedules.
- You will prepare project contracts, milestone payments and schedules, taking the contract through legal reviews and procurement pathways.
- The role requires strong project management, technical competency in design and a programmatic leadership through legal and procurement to drive results.
- You will multitask, re-prioritise and effectively lead deliveries based on ever changing business needs.
- You will build and maintain the overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to Senior leadership to secure finance for project delivery.
- You will prepare investment need/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects to secure water supply and discharges.
- Liaison with a wide range of regulators and external stakeholders (Water utilities, environmental agencies, health department, construction contractors etc).
- Liaison with a wide range of internal stakeholders (Design Engineering, Environmental, Legal, Procurement, Construction, Real Estate etc).
- You will leverage project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Regularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metrics vs. commitment of your projects.
- Ensure construction standards are followed and national construction regulation are complied with.
- Create detailed planning packs to build scalable and future proof water infrastructure.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering; further education favourable.
- 10+ years' demonstrable work experience delivering water design infrastructure and engineering solutions for capital-intensive projects across diversified industries.
- Language fluency in French, German, Spanish highly regarded. Business English is mandatory.
- 5+ years managing end-to-end project scope, business case and infrastructure requirements, develop contract and draft documentation, request for proposals, and capital requests.
- 3+ years demonstrated experience with analytical and commercial skill set to review utility tariffs, water projects and contracts.
- 7+ years of direct experience with the construction, operation, or maintenance of water infrastructure across different global regions.
- Advanced degree in Civil Engineering/Mechanical/Chemical/Environmental/Economics.
- Experience with fast-track design/build projects and or multiple significant upgrade projects and ability to work with multiple stakeholders with varied requirements.
- Analytical mindset that can identify gaps in requirements during project development, predict performance, and have the ability to provide recommendations on short notice and with limited information.
- Business experience in Europe, LATAM and/or Middle East.
- 5+ demonstrated years in program management, risk mitigation and reporting status reviews to management and internal customers.
