The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for data centers in AWS Cloud regions. They will maintain technical infrastructure and facility operations, ensuring safety procedures and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Follow and maintain the highest safety standards and encourage a worldâclass safety culture.
- Operate and maintain electrical and mechanical equipment including UPS, switchgear, transformers, chillers, HVAC, VFDs, diesel generators, and more.
- Troubleshoot events within internal SLAs.
- Take daily operational readings of all mechanical and electrical equipment through routine rounds/logâtaking.
- Supervise contractors who perform servicing or preventive maintenance.
- Perform manual handling and lifting of equipment as required.
- Work shifts (morning, late, and night) and participate in onâcall rotation for offâduty emergency calls.
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience of mechanical systems (HVAC, controls) or key electrical competencies and theory.
- 2 + years of data center engineering operations experience.
