Amazon’s Operations Employee Relations (ER) team is looking for an Employee Relations Manager with a demonstrated passion for building and sustaining positive, engaged work environments for associates and leaders, significant employee and labor relations subject matter expertise, and proven success as a leader of people.
This position can be based in Berlin, Germany; London, UK; Amsterdam, Netherlands; or Rabat, Morocco.
Key job responsibilities
We are seeking an ER Manager to support European Customer Service Operations, which includes both brick-and-mortar and remote workforce. The individual must have the ability to collaborate with and influence Operations managers and HR, analyze feedback at multiple levels, create and audit positive workplace relations programs, and design training to promote best practices. The candidate should be capable of creating and executing a strategy across EU countries supporting operational goals.
A day in the life
The ER Manager will handle reactive, crisis-oriented situations, often under severe time constraints, and will travel as necessary. The position can be performed virtually outside primary markets with at least 50% travel. The individual must be able to identify and address risks associated with remote work and develop engagement plans to mitigate them. Effective communication with leaders, managers, and associates is essential.
About the team
The CS Employee Experience and Relations team focuses on reducing business risks by developing programs to cultivate high-performing, associate-centric leaders. The team comprises ER professionals with backgrounds in HR, operations, and legal fields, dedicated to improving engagement skills across the organization.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Experience in employee relations, HR, or labor/employment law
- Knowledge of employment and labor laws in one or more EU countries
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interpersonal and persuasion skills to influence senior leadership and work collaboratively across diverse teams
- Problem-solving and analytical skills in ambiguous environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities autonomously
- Experience navigating complex international organizational structures
