The ideal candidate has a track record of strong negotiation, relationship building, and analytical skills, ability to recommend and execute a vision, and build programs and features from the ground up.

You will establish and drive new relationships and strengthen existing relationships with publishers.

You will be customer focused, entrepreneurial, a proven self-starter, and have the demonstrated ability to invent.

Within this role, you will

  • Be an expert relationship manager and communicator, who works closely with publishers up to C-level to ensure Amazon customers can find any book in our store, download it quickly at a great price and have an excellent experience reading it.
  • Be responsible for specific publisher level metrics around selection, subscription participation, and profitability
  • Become an ebooks expert who understands industry trends, the competitive environment and readers’ needs - and innovates in response.
  • Work closely with leaders across the Kindle organization – locally and globally – to ensure we continue to develop new services and products.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and automation

This position can be based at London.

Key job responsibilities - Strategic management of key publishers - Defining category strategy/vision and executing it with stakeholders

  • Master's degree - Minimum 5 years of professional experience in procurement, planning, e-commerce, strategy, consulting, or finance - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with top management (internal and external) - Ability to influence and negotiate with various stakeholders (internal and external) - Strong data analysis and P&L management capabilities - Fluent in French and English
  • Experience in digital, e-commerce, and/or logistics
