We're seeking a UX Designer with design systems expertise to support Fire TV and Tablet while also designing B2B workflows, enterprise tools for marketing experiences, and developer tools. This hybrid role combines deep design system knowledge (component building, use case documentation, Human Interface Guidelines) with hands-on product design for complex workflow and service design challenges.
Key job responsibilities
- Design Systems (60-70% of role)
- Build Fire TV/Tablet-specific components and patterns (10-foot UI browsing, remote navigation, multi-window layouts)
- Write use case documentation for components where micro-interactions differ by device (d-pad navigation, touch interactions, voice shortcuts)
- Create Fire TV Human Interface Guidelines covering 10-foot UI patterns, remote navigation, and voice-first interactions
- Build 3P developer documentation to enable self-service support
- Consult with 18 designers on component usage, governance, and best practices
- Build AI-powered Figma plugins to enforce standards and accelerate operations
- Design B2B workflows for enterprise customers (account management, team collaboration, provisioning)
- Create marketing and developer tools experiences (dashboards, reporting, analytics)
- Design service experiences spanning multiple touchpoints and user types
- Conduct user research and translate insights into workflow improvements
- Design complex information architectures for enterprise-scale tools
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers on B2B feature prioritization
About the team
The Devices & Services Experience Design (DXD) team leads user experience and industrial design innovation across Amazon's device portfolio, including Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and the Alexa app. Our team works at the intersection of design, product and engineering, creating meaningful hardware and software experiences that enhance customer lives. We believe in storytelling and thinking holistically to craft the "why" behind everything we ship. The design organization plays a critical role in accelerating collaboration between designers, engineers, researchers, and product managers across products like FireTV, Echo Family Devices, Fire Tablets, and the Alexa mobile app.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer
- Have an available online portfolio
- Knowledge of a front-end language (Javascript, CSS, HTML, etc.)
- Experience designing digital products, with a focus in building component libraries (Figma), and related Human Interface Guidelines and developer documentation
- Expertise in Figma (components, variants, auto-layout, design tokens)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in mass-market consumer web / mobile products
- Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Experience with AI tooling (Vibe coding, Figma plugins, AI automation)
- Experience designing developer tools, analytics dashboards, or marketing platforms
- JavaScript/TypeScript skills for building Figma plugins
- Experience with component migration or design system governance initiatives
- Experience with design ops, workflow automation, or AI-powered design tools
