We support all AWS data centres and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The AWS Network Design and Deployment Team (NIDD) is searching for a passionate and talented Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to drive Data Center and Network Capacity planning. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete prerequisites necessary to deliver critical networking capacity. You will lead programs with goals to improve infrastructure resource utilization and availability. You will work with teams across the ADC Organization to effectively plan and deliver data center capacity.
Key job responsibilities:- Monitor the network health, customer demand, anticipate risks, resolve issues and initiate corrective action as appropriate.
- Work with stakeholders (networking engineers/tech program managers/senior management) to define requirements and processes.
- Manage the dependencies and the interfaces between projects and negotiate the trade-offs needed.
- Provide program progress reporting on a regular basis.
- End to end responsibility for the program’s execution and success.
- Manage multiple competing projects/programs simultaneously.
- Develop and implement scalable, data-driven process improvement/automated solutions.
- Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.

The Network Design and Deployment (NIDD) team oversees the design and deployment of cable infrastructure within ADC regions. This includes milestone review, comment issuance, and ensuring accuracy and efficiency. NIDD planning also assesses partner team designs to ensure compliance with AWS and customer requirements, focusing on cabling pathways, sizing, location, type, classification, and installation. The team provides telecom room designs, including sizing and power for various rooms, as well as user-outlet designs. The role involves coordinating meetings with partner teams to clarify ownership for delivering connectivity, working with multiple design/construction and networking teams.
You will need to be a UK national and able to obtain and maintain a UK Government Security Clearance.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:- Experience in technical product or program management.
- 2+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
- 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
