Worldwide Grocery Stores Organisation is looking for an entrepreneurial, autonomous and innovative leader to lead the sourcing function for our EU Private Brands portfolio of thousands of food products. Our team is responsible for launching hundreds of new products every year across UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain and our brand, by Amazon is the #1 selling brand on amazon.co.uk with an average rating of 4.5 stars across 300k customer reviews. The Private Brands business in EU has an ambitious expansion plan and is at an inflection point in its sourcing strategy.

Operation as a single-threaded leader balancing long-term business strategy with short-term execution, influencing stakeholders across Amazon Fresh, Amazon Stores, Finance and Supply Chain.

Responsibilities
  • Set the vision and strategy for the sourcing function and engage across cross-functional leaders to formulate the broader organization vision.
  • Present strategy documents and gain buy-in with Directors and VP stakeholders across partner teams.
  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership to a team of 25+ employees across Vendor Management and Program Management functions.
  • Own the supplier strategy and engagement plans, directly establishing strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Coach and develop a team of senior leaders/managers.
  • Own governance and operational rigor of business inputs - net COGS, supplier fill rates, sales performance.
  • Demonstrate nuanced understanding of the Grocery industry and act as thought leader within the WW Private Brands organization.
  • Provide strategic guidance for key VP and SVP Goals for the business - country expansion, channel expansion and long-term strategic supplier frameworks.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical or analytical discipline.
  • 10+ years' experience in category management and/or product management and/or consulting.
  • Proven track record of using data to influence decisions.
  • Demonstrated evidence of analytical thinking and financial understanding.
  • Experience managing people.
  • Prior experience in Grocery and/or FMCG.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, MBA, or Master's degree in management, business administration, economics, engineering, marketing.
  • Experience scaling small businesses.
  • Demonstrated evidence of leading by mechanisms and operating at scale.
