The EMEA Water team is looking for a Senior Water Infrastructure Manager to support scaling and growth across our Data Centre network.

If you like to drive the development, implementation and construction of new water infrastructure and have experience in infrastructure delivery end to end – this role may be for you.

Your work will help deliver large-scale water projects, and water infrastructure projects outside the fenceline that our infrastructure needs to renewably and strategically operate.

AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles.

You will own the End-to –End delivery of external water infrastructure solutions, from scoping to physical delivery.

This requires you to project manage as the business and technical owner of all aspects of the delivery.

  • You will manage 3rd party design consultants, develop and document requirements, budgets, business cases, permitting and project schedules.
  • You will prepare project contracts, milestone payments and schedules; taking the contract through legal reviews and procurement pathways.
  • The role requires strong project management, technical competency in design and a programmatic leadership through legal and procurement to drive results.
  • You will multitask and re-prioritize and effectively lead deliveries based on ever changing business needs.
  • You will build and maintaining overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to Senior leadership to secure finance for project delivery.
  • You will prepare investment need/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects to secure water supply and discharges.

  • Liaison with a wide range of regulators and external stakeholders (Water utilities, environmental agencies, health department, construction contractors etc)
  • Liaison with a wide range of internal stakeholders (Environmental, Legal, Procurement, Construction, Real Estate etc)
  • You will leverage project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Regularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metrics vs. commitment of your projects.
  • Negotiate infrastructure agreements that address business need and community benefit across a range of diverse stakeholders.
  • Own the delivery of the water infrastructure solution end to end from negotiation of technical infrastructure solutions to managing design development to tendering, GC award and on time delivery to build scalable and future proof water infrastructure.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in project management or as a project lead including RFQ/RFP process, selecting engineering teams, developing budgets, coordinating multiple consultant teams and facilitating meetings
  • Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities, Professional Engineering or Architectural License
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations for your region
  • Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production
  • Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
