Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) is a rapidly growing, global operation unit, which significantly impacts the customer experience.

Within ATS, Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) is a program that enables entrepreneurs to start and grow their trucking business alongside Amazon, with exclusive and customized learning, ability to hire from their local communities, and long-term growth potential.

It's also the preferred supply type to launch and trial new technology such as Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV).

The Amazon Freight Partner team is seeking candidates with entrepreneurial spirit who are quick learners and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a Program Manager to help us to continue spearheading the electrification of the worldwide Amazon Middle Mile.

You will contribute to the Amazon Climate pledge - our commitment made in 2019 to reach net-zero carbon emissions by 2040.

  • As key member of a cross functional and global team you will
  • Lead the ZEV weekly business review to drive and continuously improve operations of the existing BET fleet
  • Manage deployment of new ZEVs across Europe
  • Build business cases for strategic initiatives
  • Coordinate due diligence on cross-business collaborations ensuring financial/operational viability and high carrier experience
  • Influence and build the strategic BET expansion roadmap

We are actively seeking a data and technology driven innovator, problem solver, comfortable solving ambiguous problems and focused on delighting our customers.

You must have experience and be comfortable working with teams across all levels of different organizations.

This role offers an opportunity to make business-critical decisions that will transform the current transportation environment while influencing Senior Leadership on the direction for the Middle Mile business., Own the BET WBR and design/monitor metrics tracking BET fleet growth and operational health

  • Contribute to the BET expansion strategy and define the deployment roadmap with cross-functional partners
  • Support AFP carriers through vehicle deployment and overcoming payment/operational disparities
  • Orchestrate driver type changes for the electric fleet to boost efficiency and achieve diesel TCO parity
  • Manage the transition towards a variable consumption-based payment working with 3P vendors, Tax, Accounting, Fin Ops, and Finance)
  • Monitor project execution and customer feedback to ensure quality delivery on target

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
  • Experience in program or project management
  • Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
  • Experience defining and executing program requirements
  • Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience delivering cross functional projects, Master's degree
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Speak, write, and read fluently in German
