They will have operated successfully in a fast-paced, global, results-oriented environment, and have the ability to influence the decisions of senior business leaders through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning, and the presentation of alternatives.
The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field, or equivalent experience in finance roles.
- Knowledge of one or multiple accounting frameworks (including US GAAP, IFRS, or local GAAP frameworks), with the ability to apply them in day-to-day financial activities.
- Fluency in English (speak, write, and read).
- Experience supporting month-end closing processes and contributing to financial reporting under established procedures.
- Experience supporting the implementation of controls or contributing to audits over financial reporting environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Experience researching and documenting support for accounting conclusions.
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
