We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join us at the heart of our core operations business. The Financial Analyst will partner closely with multiple EU teams within our Operations Finance organization to streamline our reporting and controlling processes. We are looking for someone who can go beyond reporting and tell the story behind the numbers and propose corrective actions.,
- Collecting, analyzing and reviewing quantitative data and creating meaningful reports to drive business improvement and cost reductions
- Root cause analysis and uncovering core issues using data
- Assist with AI development for our weekly and monthly financial close, all planning, forecasting, and reporting models and their continuous innovation and improving the use and ease of interpretation by your business partners
- Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key decision data is accurate, automated, and timely
A day in the life You will learn how Finance supports the various business teams in forecasting and analyzing actual financial results, managing the external reporting of Amazon's quarterly financial statements and inputting to the launch of new customer-focused initiatives to ensure customers can find and discover anything and everything they want online. About the team Amazon couldn't deliver at pace without the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team. As part of ATS, you'll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. Using air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, you'll help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency. - Speak, write, and read fluently in English
- Can demonstrate strong numerical and analytical skills
- Can demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet tools
- Bachelor's degree, Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
- Experience developing financial models in Excel with advanced functions (pivot tables, macros, VBA, Power Query)
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday)
