The Compliance & Certifications team is looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager who will serve as a Certifications Lead in a complex, cross-functional compliance environment, responsible for driving certification readiness and execution across global cybersecurity and safety standards. This role is critical to delivering and operationalizing compliance for horizontal standards that impact all device programs, irrespective of market or product family. Unlike product-level certifications, frameworks like the FCC Cyber Trust Mark (NIST IR 8425), and ETSI EN 303 645 and EN 18031 impose systemic requirements across the entire product lifecycle – including architecture, design, SDLC, post-market monitoring, and governance.
The right candidate will serve as the single-threaded execution lead, ensuring technical teams are implementing the appropriate controls, lifecycle documentation, and audit deliverables needed to meet enforcement deadlines and pass third-party reviews.
This role requires a combination of regulatory expertise, technical depth, and program management discipline, enabling Amazon to maintain certification velocity while reducing compliance risk across all device portfolios.
Key job responsibilities
– Driving end-to-end certification workstreams across engineering, security, legal, and product organizations
– Translating regulatory requirements into actionable compliance controls embedded in device development processes
– Establishing evidence collection, risk classification, and audit readiness frameworks that scale across NPIs and sustaining devices.
– Tracking and reporting certification progress to senior leadership, escalating risks, and ensuring timely resolution ahead of regulatory deadlines
– Ownership of applicable certifications for all NPI and sustaining SKUs by defining scope, securing resources, and ensuring timely completion of certification deliverables
– Tracking certification risk for all MP-bound NPIs by identifying gaps, monitoring mitigation plans, and escalating risks ahead of milestones
– Management of 3P test lab engagements and legal attestation coordination by driving scheduling, deliverable alignment, and cross-functional approvals
– Development and standardization of certification templates and deliverables by creating scalable documentation frameworks and embedding them in the product lifecycle
– Serve as the single-threaded owner for issue escalation, audit support, and external regulator queries by coordinating responses, consolidating evidence, and ensuring consistent stakeholder communication
