The Opportunity

We’re looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover a Southern territory. This is a field-based role selling a leading range of branded products into Independent Retailers, Symbol Groups, and Wholesale Channels.

The Role

  • Manage and grow sales within a defined territory, focusing on independent retail, symbol group accounts, and key wholesale partners.
  • Drive product visibility through in-store activation, brand placement, and promotions.
  • Build strong relationships with store owners, buyers, and decision-makers.
  • Negotiate listings, secure promotional activity, and deliver profitable sales growth.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to deliver field activations that align with national campaigns.
  • Identify and convert new business opportunities while maximising existing customer potential.

About You

  • Proven track record in FMCG field sales.
  • Experience selling into independent retailers, symbol groups, and wholesale customers.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence at store and head office level.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and commercially astute.
  • Passionate about consumer brands and building long-term customer relationships.
  • Full UK driving licence and able to travel within your territory.
