Our client is seeking to appoint a Sixth Form Study Centre Supervisor to support the delivery of their Private Study Centre. The right candidate will have the desire and skills to support with the development of independent studying and learning that can lead to student success and confidence. They will oversee the delivery and running of the study programme and signpost students to access the right services and support, whilst managing their movement across the campuses. You will take direction from the Head of sixth form and work together to build positive outcomes for all students whilst focusing on their wellbeing and learning needs at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Offer structured support to students who are developing their capacity for self‑regulated, independent study.
  • Support students with organisational strategies including planning, prioritisation, and time management.
  • Contribute to study and revision skills sessions or induction activities as directed.
  • Maintain accurate records of student engagement, conduct and study centre tier status, using the school's management information systems.
  • Monitor and follow up on student behaviour and conduct within study spaces, applying the school's policies.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents and colleagues regarding student progress and conduct within the study centre.

Requirements

  • Previous experience of working in a study centre role or similar environment would be preferable.
  • Worked with young people and has an understanding of the needs of Post 16 students.
  • Have a proven ability in supporting students with academic achievement and mentoring them.
  • Hold a degree or Level 3 qualifications or equivalent, along with high levels of literacy and numeracy.
