A school based in Newham are looking for a part time KS2 PPA Teacher to start in September 2026. This is a long-term position and the school needs someone who is able to commit on an ongoing basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work for 2 days - flexible with days
  • Deliver lessons in accordance with the KS2 curriculum
  • Manage support staff in class
  • Work with Year group leaders to support group work and positive learning outcomes
  • Deliver lessons as planned and directed by the class teachers
  • Leave detailed feedback for teachers
  • Mark the work as required

Preferred Skills:

  • Hold a teaching qualification with QTS (this role would not be suited to an ECT as the school are not able to provide a mentor/support)
  • Have experience of teaching children in KS2 previously
  • Strong behaviour management skills
  • Have good understanding of Primary school learning, outcomes and recording observations
  • Hold a valid DBS or apply for one
