A Secondary School based in Ilford are looking for a dynamic Assistant Principal who is passionate about shaping the lives of students and all those under their care to better education and improve the delivery and implementation of learning. You will constantly be looking at ways in which to lead by example and support the Trust to reach exceptional outcomes in learning and achievements. You will be a key part of the leadership team and do your utmost to manage any changes smoothly and support with training where necessary, based on your experience and previous posts the school will discuss how you can use your best practices and share knowledge.

The general duties will be to:

  • Assist the Co-Headteachers in leading and managing the school
  • Under the direction of the Co-Headteachers, be accountable for key areas of the School Improvement Plan
  • Share responsibility for implementing school policies, decision-making and strategic planning
  • Demand ambitious standards for all students within the School, overcoming disadvantage and advancing equality, instilling a strong sense of accountability in staff for the impact of their work on students’ outcomes

Preferred Skills:

  • Hold a teaching qualification and have SEND experience
  • A leadership training qualification and experience in a similar role
  • Have experience of leading programmes of learning and development
  • Experience of leading and managing a curriculum team
