Job Description

Amaris Consulting is seeking a Research and Development Associate 2 to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining plant and seed materials, ensuring they meet high-quality standards to satisfy customer requirements. You will work independently and collaboratively on experimental projects, process improvements, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Your responsibilities:

  • Perform daily production and maintenance of plant and seed materials, ensuring quality and proper conditions under glasshouses.
  • Conduct experimental tests using established and innovative screening methods, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (DEFRA, CBD, QMS, HSE) concerning GMOs and licensed plant materials in controlled environments.
  • Collaborate with the Technical Support Team to deliver high-quality service and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Develop technical expertise through hands-on experience with diverse production and testing techniques.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases to ensure traceability and accountability.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, enhance screening methods, and participate in test planning.

Your profile:

  • Relevant qualification in Sciences, Biology, Horticulture, or similar, with at least two years of experience in a related sector.
  • Knowledge of plant biology, seed production, and horticultural techniques.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and adaptability to new tools.
  • Ability to work independently with motivation and good time management, contributing as a reliable team member.
