Amari Rae FDN CIC is an award-winning Community Interest Company dedicated to empowering children and young people to make positive choices and reach their full potential.

We deliver engaging, evidence-informed workshops, mentoring and early intervention programmes across primary schools, secondary schools, colleges and community settings throughout London, Kent and Medway.

Our programmes cover topics including emotional wellbeing, confidence and resilience, healthy relationships, violence prevention, online safety, exploitation awareness, personal development and employability. Through high-quality facilitation and trusted relationships, we support young people to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to build brighter futures.

Role Description

We’re looking for passionate and engaging Youth Programme Facilitators to join our growing team on a sessional basis.

You’ll deliver interactive workshops and group sessions to children and young people in schools and community settings, creating safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments. Alongside workshop delivery, you’ll build positive relationships with young people, provide one-to-one mentoring where required, and contribute to programmes that improve confidence, resilience, wellbeing and decision-making.

This role offers flexible, sessional hours, with delivery taking place during school hours, after school, evenings, weekends and school holidays as programmes require.

Pay: £20–£30 per hour (depending on experience, can rise to £40)

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working with children and young people in youth work, education, mentoring, coaching or community settings.
  • Confidence delivering workshops, group activities or training to a range of age groups.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to engage, motivate and inspire young people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience supporting young people with social, emotional or behavioural needs is desirable.
  • Experience delivering workshops on topics such as emotional wellbeing, online safety, healthy relationships, violence prevention or personal development.
  • A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Basic IT skills for completing registers, reports and evaluation forms.
  • An Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is desirable but not essential.
  • Youth Work, Education, Social Work, Psychology or a related qualification.
  • First Aid, Safeguarding or Mental Health training.
