Amandala Neuro is a rapidly-growing biotech startup founded in 2025, focused on the development of ELE-101 (an IV dosage form of psilocin) and a pipeline of follow-up candidates to address poorly-controlled neuropsychiatric conditions. We are dedicated to helping patients suffering from neurological and psychiatric disorders by developing a pipeline of short-acting psychedelic compounds.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Medical Monitor to provide hands-on medical oversight across our clinical programs. You will work directly with our Senior Medical Director and serve as the clinical voice on safety data, eligibility, protocol deviations, and database lock. This is a high-ownership role in a small, senior team.

What You'll Do

  • Provide medical monitoring and AE assessment across our clinical programs.
  • Review eligibility queries, protocol deviations, and medically significant clinical events.
  • Participate in DSMB coordination and safety data review meetings alongside the Senior Medical Director and Safety Physician.
  • Provide medical sign-off at database lock from a clinical and safety perspective.
  • Partner with the Senior Medical Director on pharmacovigilance strategy, including SAE review and expedited reporting.
  • Partner with the Senior Medical Director on clinical trial design and protocol development.
  • Contribute to cross-functional data review meetings with our CRO.

What You Bring

  • Medical degree required; psychiatrist strongly preferred. CNS or psychiatry trial experience is required.
  • Demonstrated experience with safety review, SAE adjudication, and DSMB workflows.
  • Comfortable operating in a lean sponsor environment where ownership is high and hierarchy is low.
  • Experience with psychedelics, novel CNS modalities, or first-in-class mechanisms is a meaningful advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent study commitments without losing the clinical picture.

Why Amandala

  • You will be working on one of the most scientifically interesting programs in psychiatry right now.
  • High ownership from day one — direct access to senior leadership, not layers of management.
  • Remote-first with flexibility on location and working pattern.
  • Meaningful equity participation for permanent roles.

Employment details: Permanent preferred; contract considered at minimum 50% FTE. Location: Remote. UK or US candidates preferred; other locations considered on a case-by-case basis.

Medical employer: Amandala Neuro
