Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accuracy in financial records and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounts department. Duties
- Assist with accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records using various accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.
- Perform data entry tasks to update financial information and ensure all records are current.
- Support month-end closing activities by preparing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide support in financial reporting and analysis as required by management.
- Assist with any ad-hoc financial projects or tasks as directed by senior staff.
- VAT returns preparation and submission.
- Accounts preparation to review stage (SME).
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Workday, QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial services.
- Excellent data entry skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure accuracy in financial documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated to complete tasks independently.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders.
