The Personal Trainer is employed to lead classes and perform Personal Training sessions on board. They are fitness professionals with extensive experience in the fitness field. The Personal Trainer must be knowledgeable of all fitness offerings at the spa, hold current certifications, and have formal PT experience (paid or unpaid) for at least 3 months. Excellent communication skills are required in order to provide the highest quality environment and instruction that will meet the needs of our guests in the area of health and exercise.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have level 3 qualifications.
- Resistance Weights qualification such as BAWLA, NABBA, or an international equivalent will be accepted.
- Experience in teaching yoga, Pilates, indoor cycling, or Thai Chi is a plus.
- Personal training experience (this does not have to be paid experience).
- Exceptional communication.
- Strong commercial/business awareness.
- Nutrition and Detoxification knowledge.
- Qualification should be accepted internationally from a recognized training school in your region.
- Core curriculum should cover principles of warm up and cool down, resistance training, cardiovascular training, core stability, goal setting, and exercise counselling.
- Anatomy & physiology, hygiene, health and safety, personal presentation, plan and execute safe and effective programmes, code of ethics and client care.
