The predicted salary is between 1200 - 1680 £ per month.
The Hairdresser and/or Barber performs professional cuts, styles, colouring services, and therapeutic hair and scalp treatments. The barber, in addition, performs professional men's grooming services. The ideal candidate must possess and maintain knowledge of current hairstyles and fashion trends, effectively interpreting our guests' image desires whilst providing them with a relaxing environment that exceeds their expectations.
Hairdressers must possess excellent cleanliness and sanitation skills as well as be willing to train in our specific hair and scalp service offerings. Excellent communication skills are required, and the candidate must be able to learn the product and service knowledge necessary to effectively provide wellness and beauty solutions to meet the needs of our guests.
QUALIFICATIONS
To train at the London Wellness Academy we require all candidates to have the following minimum qualifications and experience:
- Candidates may have completed hairdressing training at a full-time college or completed a three-year apprenticeship.
- Hairdressers should be qualified in ladies' hairdressing and confident with gentlemen's hairdressing.
- Good strong confident blow-drying skills on hair of ALL types (particular emphasis on blow drying straight without the aid of straighteners) in a timely manner.
- Good cutting skills and ability to adapt to guests' style requirements.
- Confident in ladies' and gents' hairdressing.
- Colour trained ideal candidate is L'Oreal trained.
- Qualification should be accepted internationally from a recognized training school in your region or equivalent to level 3.
- Core curriculum should cover application of shampoo and conditioner, range of cutting techniques, a range of colouring techniques, blow dry, style and dress short, medium, and long hair, setting a range of hair types.
- Health & Safety in the salon, handling chemicals, hygiene, personal presentation, lifestyle advice and client care.
