Multi-Skilled Operatives work as part of our North Maintenance team and provide a range of hands-on logistics and site support services to our customers on prestigious projects. Multi-Skilled Operatives typically undertake a variety of site support and facilitation tasks. Amalga prides itself on maintaining extremely high standards for Health & Safety and quality of service and expects its teams to embody this culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primarily moving plant and materials around site and taking deliveries
- General Maintenance
- Proactively helping to maintain a clean and tidy site which includes occasional sweeping and mopping of floors after labour has been complete for the day/night
- Using a variety of hand and power tools to undertake general builders works
- Removing debris and waste from site
- Assisting tradespersons on site
- Erection of hoardings
- Carrying out daily site checks using customer supplied checklists
- Communicating directly with the customers and representing Amalga in a professional manner
- Complying with all health and safety policies, procedures and practices
- Working as part of a team or on own initiative
- Other tasks as required
Specific Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a CSCS card with (Skilled Operative Blue Minimum)
- Ideally have a Full UK drivers licence
- Experience of general site support and/or working in the construction industry
- Experience of working in restricted areas (desirable)
- Understanding of construction site methods and processes
- A safety first mindset
- A professional attitude and approach to work
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work effectively as an individual or within a team
- Reliable and punctual
