We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Bar Manager to oversee operations across two bars within one venue at Amalfi White, a stunning wedding & events venue in Derbyshire. This is a rare opportunity to lead bar operations in a high-end, event-led environment alongside a stylish public-facing cocktail bar and busy wedding/private hire trade. The main bar is open to the public and serves a high-end cocktail offering, alongside premium event service. Strong cocktail experience is essential.

Salary: From £32,000.00

Hours: 4 days per week (weekend work essential, with additional hours required during peak event periods)

The Role

  • You’ll take full ownership of bar operations across both bars within the venue, ensuring consistent high standards across public service and events, strong financial control, and a well-trained, motivated team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ordering & procurement of all bar stock
  • Managing wastage logs and controlling losses
  • Variance tracking and reporting
  • Pour cost analysis to maintain profitability
  • Conducting regular stock takes
  • Rota management across both bars
  • Staff training and development
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance
  • Creating and updating menus, including cocktails
  • Supporting marketing and event promotions

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Bar Manager or strong Assistant Manager ready to step up
  • Strong cocktail experience is essential (premium/high-end cocktail service)
  • Experience in high-volume or events-led venues (weddings/private hire a bonus)
  • Confident managing both public bar trade and private events
  • Strong stock control and financial awareness
  • Organised, proactive, and calm under pressure
  • Flexible and available for weekend and peak-period work
