Responsibilities:
- Lead in your area of expertise and mentor Specialists and Senior Specialists as needed.
- Understand how key business drivers (e.g., revenue, customer satisfaction, and time‑to‑market) affect your area; analyse complex, cross‑functional problems; improve processes; recommend solutions and risk‑mitigation plans; and communicate complex information clearly.
- Work with a high level of autonomy while aligning with management direction and collaborating across teams; lead or contribute to cross‑functional projects and support planning for resources and budget.
- Define and maintain the test strategy and plan for the project, product, or release; align with CI/CD, Green IT guidelines, Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL), Software Test Development Lifecycle (STDL), and industry QA standards.
- Establish clear decision‑making and communication pathways between Amadeus and customer stakeholders; partner with customers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT); and clarify testing requirements for internal and cross‑Business Unit work.
- Oversee test activities, including execution of scratch tests; monitor and review results from QA Engineers’ test campaigns; and provide timely sign‑offs for functional, non‑functional, regression validations, and releases.
- Monitor software quality KPIs across testing phases; track issues; drive preventive and corrective actions; and ensure traceability to support long‑term reliability and maintainability.
- Deliver clear, regular quality reports to stakeholders (QA Engineers, Product Definition Analysts, and Software Development Engineers), summarising progress, risks, and mitigation plans; collaborate with development, product/commercial, and cross‑functional testing teams to prioritise requirements and streamline execution.
