Overview

Product Support Engineer – Remote, Full Time. Position based at Manchester Airport with remote working options. Shift pattern: 12‑hour shifts, 4 on / 4 off, 365 days per year including bank holidays. Travel to Dublin Airport possible on occasion. Application deadline: January 27 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Recover functional and technical incidents and requests related to hardware and software systems, escalating to internal resolver groups or third parties as needed.
  • Provide support for personal computers, servers, mainframe applications, data/voice networks, and ERP systems.
  • Acquire, install, upgrade PC components & software, and plan for and respond to service outages.
  • Research complex problems in the organization’s telecommunications networks (voice and data).
  • Deliver real‑time ERP system support, problem identification, and training to facilitate knowledge transfer and prevent recurrence.
  • Troubleshoot, rectify faults, and diagnose issues through discussion with users, escalating where required.
  • Provide timely resolution of user problems, queries, and complaints.
  • Assist in hardware and software evaluation, recommending upgrades or improvements to the IT infrastructure.
  • Respond to Amadeus customer questions regarding products, solutions, and interactions between components.
  • Acknowledge, investigate, and recover incidents within service levels using knowledge solutions.
  • Escalate incidents beyond team competencies to third‑level resolver groups or external providers and follow up.
  • Provide customers with updates on the status of critical problems and suggest improvements to the Knowledge Solutions database.

Qualifications

  • Experience in product engineering support or hardware maintenance, preferably in transport or industrial environments.
  • Self‑motivation, adaptability, teamwork, flexibility, professionalism, and trustworthiness.
  • Strong technical/functional knowledge in the relevant discipline and understanding of Amadeus business relationships.
  • Ability to work with moderate guidance and provide input to influence area decisions, recommend new solutions, and propose improvements.
