Hello! We are AMA. We deliver customised, data-driven, dynamic ads for the most recognisable brands on the world's largest audio platforms. Founded in 2015, we have delivered over 10 billion dynamic creative impressions and 2,000+ campaigns for 300+ brands in the US, Europe, and Australia, with teams based in London and New York. AMA Studio publishes millions of perfectly tailored ads in minutes and matches a listener’s interests and environment.

As we continue to scale, our vibrant culture remains at the heart of AMA. We’re proud to have been named Campaign UK’s #1 Best Place to Work in 2025, following our rise from third place the year before, and to have been recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2026 in the Small Organisations category.

About the role:

As Senior Sales Manager, you will own and grow revenue across your assigned agency patch, with a focus on major agency groups and independent agencies. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with agency decision-makers, identifying opportunities for AMA’s dynamic audio advertising products, and converting those opportunities into revenue. This is a commercial role for someone who already understands the media agency landscape, has strong agency contacts, and knows how to sell digital, audio, programmatic or ad tech solutions.

You will work closely with agencies to help them understand how AMA’s personalised audio products can improve creative effectiveness, campaign relevance and media performance. Internally, you will partner with our creative, campaign management and technical teams to shape proposals, support campaign delivery and grow long-term agency partnerships.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and grow revenue across AMA’s Publicis and Dentsu agency patch.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships across Publicis and Dentsu, including planning, buying, digital, audio, programmatic, strategy and innovation teams.
  • Utilise publishers and DSP’s to help cross-sell AMA.
  • Sell AMA’s personalised dynamic audio products directly and programmatically.
  • Identify new business opportunities, build a strong pipeline and convert agency relationships into revenue.
  • Develop quarterly and annual plans for Publicis and Dentsu, including target agencies, priority contacts, revenue opportunities and growth areas.
  • Run consultative sales conversations that help agencies understand how personalised audio can improve campaign relevance, creative effectiveness and performance.
  • Create and deliver compelling pitches, proposals and responses to briefs.
  • Work with internal creative and campaign teams to shape ideas that are commercially strong and deliverable.
  • Partner with campaign management, engineering and third-party research partners to support campaign setup, optimisation and measurement.
  • Stay close to the digital audio, programmatic and ad tech landscape so you can confidently advise agencies and spot new opportunities.
  • Represent AMA at industry events, agency meetings and networking opportunities.
  • Share market feedback internally to help improve our products, positioning and sales approach.

What we expect from you:

  • Significant sales experience within digital media, audio, programmatic, ad tech or a related media environment, typically gained over five years or more.
  • A proven record of independently owning a major agency group, holding company or similarly complex portfolio, including the account plan, pipeline and personal revenue target.
  • Sustained evidence of hitting or exceeding targets and growing complex accounts over multiple quarters.
  • Strong relationships across major UK agency groups, ideally including Omnicom and/or Dentsu, with credibility across digital, programmatic, audio, AV, planning or strategy teams.
  • A strong understanding of how agencies plan, buy and evaluate media across direct and programmatic buying routes.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles from discovery and qualification through to proposal, negotiation and close.
  • The ability to create demand before a formal brief exists, build a multi-quarter pipeline and establish routes into recurring planning and budget cycles.
  • A consultative sales style, with the confidence to challenge unclear briefs and turn client problems into clear, commercially relevant propositions.
  • Strong commercial judgement, including knowing where to invest time, when to protect value and when an opportunity should be deprioritised or declined.
  • A disciplined approach to forecasting and CRM management, with clear evidence behind close dates, next steps and pipeline value.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders, work effectively with internal teams and improve the quality of wider sales activity without direct line management responsibility.
  • A proactive, accountable and adaptable approach, with the resilience to maintain momentum when budgets, campaigns or priorities change.
